UNITS Portable Storage delivers ground level moving and storage containers right to your Dixon property. You pick the day, we drop the container, you load it on your own schedule. When you’re done, we either move it to your new home or store it for you at our secure indoor warehouse. No truck rental clock running, no one-Saturday deadline.
We’re locally owned and operated, and we’ve been doing this in the Dixon area for decades. The container shows up when we say. The same person who took your call usually handles the delivery.
We’re locally owned. When you call our office, you talk to a real person, not a call center somewhere else in the country. The same person typically handles your account from quote through pickup.
A few things our Dixon customers tell us:

Two sizes to fit how Dixon actually moves. Pick the one that matches your project.
8 by 8 by 12 • around 4,000 lbs capacity
Best for a 2 to 3 room move, a single garage cleanout, or one room of a remodel. Common Dixon uses include a guest room conversion, agricultural tools and irrigation gear during the off season, or a small-property garage cleanout.
8 by 8 by 16 • around 6,000 lbs capacity
Best for a 3 to 4 room home, a full kitchen and great room renovation, or a small business move. Most Dixon families moving from a single family home book a 16 foot. Properties with a detached workshop or barn often book two.
Not sure which size? Call us at (916) 929-4435 and we’ll talk through your move.
Step 1: Get a quote. Call us at (916) 929-4435 or fill out our quote form. We’ll ask a few questions about your move, talk through container size, and quote you in a couple minutes.
Step 2: We deliver. Tell us where and when. We bring a container to your Dixon property using our ROBO delivery system, which places it where you want even on gravel driveways or rural access roads.
Step 3: You pack and load. Take your time loading. A few hours, a few days, a few weeks. Lock the container when you’re done for the day. If you need help, we can connect you with packing services.
Step 4: We pick up. Once you’re ready, we move the container to your new home, or store it at our secure warehouse until you need it again.
Step 5: We redeliver or store it. When you’re ready to have your container delivered to its final destination, just call. If we’re storing it for you, you can schedule access whenever you need to grab something out.
Step 6: Final pickup. When you’re done, give us a call. We’ll come pick up the container and that’s it. Call us back if you need storage again.
Residential moves anywhere in Dixon, Davis, Vacaville, Fairfield, and Woodland. Storage during home sales when you’ve sold but haven’t closed on the next place. Renovation storage when you need the kitchen or living room cleared out.
A few Dixon situations we handle a lot:
If your situation isn’t on this list, call us. There isn’t much we haven’t seen.

Usually within two to three business days. We’re open six days a week, so call early in the week if you need it by Friday.
Yes. We deliver to rural addresses across Solano County, including agricultural and ranch properties. The ROBO delivery system handles gravel access roads and rough terrain that flatbed trucks can’t navigate. Tell us where the container needs to go when you call.
If the container sits on your private property, no permit is required. If it has to go on the street, the City of Dixon may require a temporary right-of-way permit. We can walk you through the process when you book your delivery.
Most of the time, yes. The ROBO remote control delivery system places containers in spots a flatbed truck can’t reach. If you’re worried about access, send us a photo when you call and we’ll tell you straight up before we book.
